It has been nearly a month since my last entry, in the last month, I have been working 14 hour days and donned many hats
…From birthday girl
…To builder
…To shop fitter
…To purchasers
…To window dresser
…To web designer
…To shop keeper, and no where have I had the chance to be a knitter or blogger.
However, on the plus side, I can finally announce what my top secret project from the summer was… Jason and his friend Marten have gone into partnership selling Persian rugs, decorative glass and ironware and candles.
After months of sourcing suppliers, thinking of a name (Near & Far), learning to set up an e-commerce site and hunting for a premises.
Finally, they have a shop in St Margaret’s, in south-west London. We are just waiting for the sign painter to do his thing before we look like a proper shop!
