5FF: Comfort Films

My Five Comfort Films

I only joined 5 Fandom Friday last September. But the project had been running for 18 months before I joined. As a result, I had missed several topics I would have loved to write about. So I’m going to play “catch-up” this week and write about my five comfort films (a prompt from March 2015).

Comfort Films

Avengers Assemble || Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Dazed And Confused || Finding Nemo || The Goonies

Although all these films are all so different. For me, they are all well written and for me are the also the films I quote the most! I’m pretty sure anyone that has seen The Avengers has quoted a line from it. I think the whole of the script during the Battle of New York is quotable line after quotable line.

This is just like Budapest, huh?

Black Widow (The Avengers)

Which comfort films I watch really depends on my mood. If I want something short and sweet it’s The Goonies. For a general feeling good film it Breakfast at Tiffany’s. All of these films I have watched again and again, they make me happy or cry, like the opening scene in Finding Nemo always sets me off.

If I’m feeling blue I will have a movie marathon watching these (or the Original Star Wars trilogy) and if I have a mean case of the reds “I jump in a cab and go to Tiffany’s!”
