My card making for this month is early over, I have finished all 60 Save the Date Cards, that are all waiting to be posted next week. But before, I pack away my card making stuff, I need to do now is make a card for Suzanne at Luscious Fibers.

Here’s the cards, the inserts in the envelopes are via Martha Stewart Wedding (I love that magazine), I also made some monogram stickers from mini label stickers for the back of the envelopes.

striped sweaterI have both my match-ups from the two secret pal exchanges, and have been busy reading their blogs and trying to get ideas for gifts, which means I have an excuse to go yarn shopping (who am I kidding I don’t need an excuse). Note to self, I must buy some buttons for Mum’s twin set.

Having spent the last few days with my sister, my secret project is on hold and I have been concentrating on my stripy sweater. The front is complete (I knitted it first, so I could experiment with a lower neckline), and I have started the armhole shaping on the back. I am unsure what to do about the sleeves, to leave it as a vest, have a little cap sleeve or a regular short sleeve.

I have been so busy over the last few weeks, I have not had time to stop and update – it doesn’t help that I have been away from home so PC and Camera-less! I am in the middle of printing the inserts for my handmade Christmas cards, so finally have time to update.

I was planning on making 40 mini stocking from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts, however time has not been on my side and I had to change the plan. :(

Wedding InvitationsI was also asked to make Wedding Invitations from Jason’s cousin – which she needed this weekend – luckily, I was able to make a pretty simple design so it didn’t take that long. (This was one of the rejected cards – as the heart is wonky).

I had my last parcel from my Secret Pal – which was Mother of Purl by Edith Eig, which I loved mainly as it had the pattern to the Lost in Translation Scarf – which is one of my favourite films. Jumbled up on the back of the parcel was numerous letters, that I think are an anagram of my Secret Pal, but I have no idea still as to who s/he is.

I was spoiling Brynne from All This By Hand, I say spoiling but really all I did was converted her to Lush. It was strange spoiling an experiences knitter again, as I had seen Brynne’s designs in Knitty (including Samus, which I think I will be knitting in the new year).

Speaking of Knitty – this issue is amazing, I love…
