I am posting my final photos in the 6 on 6 series, red for December. Like my gold photos for November, these have a Christmassy theme. A lego Santa, and Starbucks red cup. I have also added an Electra Tsum Tsum. The Harley Quinn Funko, was a Halloween gift as past of the Geek Girl x Bloggers group from the Funko Queen dePepi.
The final photo in my red themed #SockSunday photo I took on Instagram. Featuring the Red Queen book, a red cup and my 2 luv crew socks I knitted years ago. These are my favourite socks that I made, that I tend not to wear them, which is why I think they don’t have holes in them.
As with all 6 on 6 challenges I have started with a Tsum Tsum (I love photographing these little toys). This month’s includes one of my favourites a Nemo, complete with damaged fin. The other photos I have taken for this challenge I have devoted to everyone’s favourite little orange and white droid! Another tsum tsum, a funko figure, my amazing lego keyring and my fabulous BB-8 scarf!
For this months 6 on 6 as always I had to include a Tsum Tsum. Originally, I only planned to collect the Star Wars or Marvel versions. However when I saw the “Dory” version Disney released to conjunction with the release of Finding Dory, I had to change my mind.
When I posted my 6 on 6 photos for March, I mentioned I acquired a collection of Star Wars tins. This R2D2 version has moved around over the years. First it was in my bedroom for a while, holding odd buttons, then ear-rings and odd ear-ring backs. Now it is on my desk holding paperclips.
As you may know Batgirl is my favourite character. So I adore buying anything Batgirl themed (yes I own Batgirl knickers and pyjamas), the very first Pop Vinyl figure I brought was Batgirl. It is also my favourite Pop Vinyl. Shortly, after buying her I also brought the Dorbz and Mopeez versions.
Another blue cowl. I love Pez dispensers, but don’t really like the sweets. This year, I have found several stores are selling geeky Pez dispensers. So far I have brought a Darth Vader, Minion and several Marvel comic characters including this Captain America one.
As I Londoner I always carry around my trusty Oyster Card. (The contact-less payment system used on public transport in London). I know I could use Apple Pay or credit card, but I love my Oyster Card. Maybe one day they will offer Oyster Card Nails.
Finally, my beloved Team GB t-shirt (and scarf), which I had to include as the Rio 2016 Olympics started this weekend. I become obsessed with the Olympics in 2012. We were lucky enough to attend several sporting events and spend a lot of time in our fabulous city enjoying the extra events laid on. (You can read about my adventures during the London 2012 Olympics here.)
Before taking my photos this month, I was chatting to Jason about the challenge complaining I didn’t have anything yellow to photograph. Immediately, he suggested Minions or The Simpsons. I remembered this Minions USB stick he brought me a few years ago. Which I have never used, it just sits in a mini box with paperclips on my desk.
Both Jason and I used to love The Simpsons, I’m embarrassed to admit I haven’t watch it in years. We used to have a lot of Simpsons merchandise, t-shirts, figures and even Simpsons magnets on the fridge. Now all I could find were the box sets of early seasons on DVD.
I love including tsum tsum in my 6 on 6 photos, when hunting in my collection for a yellow plushie. All I could find was the C-3PO. Yes I know in the movies C-3PO is golden, but this tsum tsum is definitely yellow!
Don’t you just love the expression on the little Lego figures? I adore how each little head has its own features, a cheeky smile, eyelashes or stubble.
As a stationary addict, I love looking for cute sticky notes, however there is something lovely about a classic, yellow post-its. I used them regularly, whether to write a little reminder for myself to stick to my mirror. Or to make longer lists to stick on my laptop.
I mentioned in a blog post last summer, that at this time of year, I love decorating our house with floral bunting. Or filling each room with fresh flowers. This year I have bought yellow and orange flowers to display in the Orla Kiely coffee jars I collected last year.
Every week Kayla from Epicfied hosts a Fandom Friday Q&A about a specific fandom and asks readers submit their answers. Last week, it was five general questions about fandoms, so I thought I would turn my answers into a blog post – so you could get to know the fandoms I love (You can read their answers here).
What are your top five fandoms?
Game of Thrones
Marvel Cinematic Universe
What is a fandom you love but isn’t extremely popular?
I am going to have to say Orphan Black, I love this show and became hooked from the first season however, no one I know seemed to watch it, so that’s why I adding it here.
What is a fandom you highly recommend?
Too many to mention, I spent a few years convincing all my friends to watch Game of Thrones just so I could discuss each episode, spoilers and theories.
I know a lot of people have read the New 52 Batgirl, but I prefer the pre-Flashpoint version, with Barbara Gordon as Oracle and Cassandra Cain as Batgirl, so I guess I would recommend reading Batgirl: Silent Knight or Birds of Prey: Vol 1.
Do you collect anything?
My largest collection is Star Wars based, in the attic I have a lot of merchandise from the 1990’s, Episode One Lego sets, board games and dozens of Expanded Universe books.
Last year, I brought a few Tsum Tsum, this year as they released two Star Wars waves and a Civil War set, I seem to have developed a larger collection, with the Finding Dory and The Force Awaken sets being released this month, I think my collection will continue to grow.
Anything else? Like many I am still not over the fact the Firefly got cancelled!

During the summer in the afternoon, I like to switch my coffee for a frappé or ice coffee, in recent years this has become a cold brew. Starbucks have started selling their version in the U.K. it is an interesting healthier addition to the summer menu. Especially as I’m trying to cut down my sugar consumption.
Over the last few months I have loved toying with my camera, I have brought several books and have read about composition and trends. Since then I have taken a lot of cliché photographs, my feet on patterned floors, manicured nails holding a nail varnish bottle and cups of coffee on a marble table #latteart.
Adding to this I have become one of those people who grab my camera when the sun comes out to take a few photos. We are lucky enough to have a large park and river walk near our house. Which seem to be my go to place to experiment with setting on my camera but also explore the different coffee stores.
Recently, I have started collecting tsum tsum, after nearly missing out on a complete Star Wars set, I popped down to the mall on “Tsum Tsum Tuesday” when the “Episode One” collection was released. The Jar Jar version had already sold out at lunchtime but I managed to get all the ones I wanted including the Queen Amidala.
My sister and I planned a mini staycation in April. We used this opportunity to explore some of our favourite neighbourhoods in London, do some shopping, and checking out some local cafés for coffee and cake!

After being so organised last month with my 6 on 6 photos this month, I am extremely late! I don’t really have a lot of green stuff, but I think I need to buy more Loki merchandise. Yesterday, I had a quick look around my house and found a few green things. My breakfast smoothie, some colouring pencils and a Boba Fett from my growing collection of Tsum Tsum.
As the weather was so nice this weekend in London, I grabbed my camera and some coffee and headed out to take some photos, I took a walk along the river to the green Hammersmith Bridge (although it doesn’t look very green in my photo) and around a local park.
I am so behind on my blog post series, between being ill last month and the mini vacation, I am still playing catch-up. I was going to forget about February’s 6 on 6 and move on to March’s, but then I realised I don’t actually own a lot of pink things, so I decided to do February’s really late!
“I only use black.. and sometimes dark shades of gray.”
Over the years I have collected a few Star Wars tins, (not all of them are black), most of them have had sweets in (I still fill them with tictacs), but I found the larger one in Marks & Spencer last year, it was filled with some pretty horrid biscuits, now it sits on my desk holding my favourite post-it notes and mini notepads.
Last year, I brought too much The Force Awakens merchandise, anything with Rey and a lot of BB8 stuff, I also got a kids play set in the Disney Store to use as part of our Christmas decorations in our bedroom.
My newest obsession is with Tsum Tsum (mainly due to the release of the Star wars plushies last month), my first Tsum Tsum was this Black Widow one, as I was so pleased to find a Black Widow collectible.
Most of my digital life is played out on my iPad, I tend to always buy my technological products in black. I have steadily been using my iPad more and more, to check my mail, read blogs and I hate to admit up but also to play games. My analogue life is played out in my Moleskine journal, I use this one for my daily to do list and nightly for some simple journalling/brain dumping.
