My knitting mojo has been missing lately. Hence the lack of updates on my blog. Jason mentioned that he wanted a hat for the colder weather. And asked me to knit one for him. Now this was a major deal. As in the last 7 years that I have been knitting regularly. I have only made Jason three pairs of socks. It’s not the boyfriend curse, he just isn’t the sort of guy who wears sweaters or scarves.

When I pressed him about the hat. He said he wanted it to be like the one Stan wear in South Park without the pompom. Did I mention he’s a huge South Park fan? He also said he liked the feel of my Gretel beret. As it wasn’t scratchy like normal wool. So I hunted on the Malabrigo website, I found the right shades of red and blue, Vermillion and Azul Bonito. And began knitting!
