Welcome to my Winter 2024 haul, where I’ll share what I’ve purchased this winter. A collection of beauty, fashion and homewares. That I bought over the last few months.

1. Strawberry Bag Charm Crochet Pattern
As a crafter, I am hunting for inspiration for the next season. I have knitted sweaters or woolly hats in the middle of August! So, I am currently looking ahead to projects for this summer. One thing I wanted was a small pouch to decorate a tote bag. I love the idea of fruit-themed accessories for the summer. And nothing says English summer more than strawberries!
2. Lego Cherry Blossom
I have mentioned how I love decorating the house for each season, so I am looking for ideas for the spring. One of my favourite things about spring is the cherry blossoms on the trees. So this Lego Cherry Blossom is perfect. In the future, I will look for more Lego sets for my seasonal decorations.
3. Red Tights
I think I am in my Red Era. I like to add a pop of red to my outfits during December to be a little festive. However, this winter, I have continued to wear red into the new year. One of my favourite things to wear has been red tights, and after trying several types, these are my favourite, being both think enough and in size.
4. OPI Nail Envy Big Apple Red
In the winter, my go-to nail varnish colour is OPI’s Big Apple Red. Whereas, in spring, I like to have a few colour-free weeks. During this time, I wear nail treatments instead of colour. For years, my go-to treatment had been OPI’s Nail Envy. So, this year, I was ecstatic to discover a new tinted Nail Envy in my favourite red colour!
5. Gel Pens
If you ask any stationery addict about their favourite pen, they will give you an in-depth answer. My answer will explain my favourite pens for decorating a page and my favourite felt tip for heading. But my favourite pen for general journalling is always the Muji gel pen in Navy with a 0.5. At the start of every year, I love going into the Muji store to buy new gel pens and several refills!
6. Game of Thrones Earring
When I saw an advert for Pandora’s Game of Thrones collection on Instagram. I thought this “needle” earring was designed especially for me! Arya Stark was always my favourite character in the show. So much so that I got a needle sword and the words “Not Today” tattooed on my arm. This earring is not only a miniature sword. It also features the words Not Today, just like my tattoo!
7. Mascara
For years, I never wore mascara. As someone who previously wore contact lenses, I would always end up with “panda eyes” at the end of the day. However, I tried the Maybelline Sky-High Mascara after a few friends mentioned liking it. This year, they introduced a few coloured versions, and whilst I don’t think I would ever wear blue mascara, I love this burgundy version. As purple is the opposite of the colour wheel to my brown eyes, I think this is why it works.
8. Wide Leg Jeans
For years, if I wanted to buy basic clothes, like jeans or T-shirts, I would get them from Uniqlo. When this winter, I wanted a pair of wide-leg jeans and hunted around shops for the perfect pair. I tried all the jeans shops I could think of looking for that ideal pair but didn’t even think of trying Uniqlo. Eventually, my husband suggested I try Uniqlo, and I found an ideal pair online. When they arrived, they were the perfect fit. That I ended up buying another pair in a darker colour!
9. Bow Hair Clips
Whilst looking at photos from London Fashion Week on Instagram, I saw people wearing these cute little bow clips. I was amazed to discover they were children’s hair clips from Boots. As I am easily influenced. I ordered a few pairs, obviously in red but also baby blue, ready for the spring.
10. Bow Tote Bag
I am a fan of good tote bags! For the spring, I wanted a pastel-coloured tote. Of course, all I would find were coquette bow bags! Whilst I’m not obsessed with the coquette trend, I love bows, so I decided to embrace the trend!
