Causal Cosplay: James Bond Inspired Look

As No Time to Die is finally released in the cinema. I thought I would put together a little James Bond themed casual cosplay. I’ve yet to see the latest movie in the James Bond franchise. But I am currently re-watching all the old Daniel Craig’s Bond movies. So, I have recreated a look inspired by his classic tuxedo look. I had so much fun researching this post. When I say researching. What I mean is me spending hours looking online at red carpet looks of women in tuxedos.

Women in Suits!

I should state this is in no way an endorsement for a female James (or Jane) Bond. I agree with Daniel Craig’s recent comments. Writers should stop being lazy and gender-bending male roles. Instead, why not create an interesting female spy character for her own movie. Personally, I felt they missed the opportunity with Halle Berry. I loved the character Jinx in Die Another Day and would have loved to see this character in her own spin-off movie. So instead of a female Bond outfit, this is a fun outfit for someone wanting to casual cosplay. As I mentioned, I am obsessed with women in suits at the moment and think more people wear them at events!

The Suit

This look is all based around the tuxedo. I found several options online for traditional trousers and blazer suits. But also, fun playsuits for the tuxedo look with a more modern twist

The Accessories

Of course, what makes any everyday cosplay is the accessories. For James Bond, this has to be an expensive watch, designer sunglasses, and a “Vesper” martini! I loved the Judith Lieber Martini clutch Beyonce recently shared on Instagram. But I can’t justify the $1000 price tag, so I found a more affordable alternative on Etsy.
